Chanel Celebrates NYC’s Top Dance Companies With the BAAND Together Dance Festival

Five of New York City’s top dance companies are coming together to take part in Lincoln Center’s second annual Summer for the City programming.

The BAAND Together Dance Festival is a five-day event which will feature Ballet Hispánico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem performing curated programming for the special event. The festival is made possible by Chanel, supporting BAAND for the third consecutive year and continuing the fashion house’s long-standing support of the world of dance.

“The BAAND Together Dance Festival is a testament to the vibrancy and diversity of the New York City dance community,” says the artistic directors of all five dance companies in a joint statement. “We are thrilled to be returning with a spectacular program that features the city’s most internationally revered repertory companies. This year’s program highlights the innovative visions that have made New York City our nation’s dance capital.”

Ahead of the festival next month, Chanel worked alongside photographer Daniel Arnold to capture dancers from all five of the companies performing for the streets of New York. In the images, dancers from each company are decked in C-logo bodysuits, flowing black dresses, and cut-out unitards styled by Chanel for the occasion.
